A prose telling of the whole story - present tense, no dialogue formatting - used to develop or pitch.
A treatment narrates the film in present-tense prose, scene by scene or movement by movement - anywhere from three to thirty pages. Studios use them to evaluate stories before scripts exist; writers use them to find the story's holes while the fixes are still cheap.
